A massive drill - part of an 11-day ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus maritime security and counter-terrorism exercise - was held in Singapore on May 9. It involved 3,500 personnel from defence forces in 18 countries - the 10 ASEAN nations as well as Australia, China, Japan, India, Korea, New Zealand, Russia and the United States.
The Singapore Armed Forces SOTF along with other SOF units made up a special forces task group which used the SAF MARS Elevated Tactics Systems to seize control of multiple simulated terrorist strongholds throughout Singapore!
