Army Combat Divers use Jetboots DPS during the 40th Annual Swim Around Key West

The Annual Swim Around Key West is a grueling 12.5-mile endurance swim clockwise around the entire island of Key West, FL. During this year’s Swim Around Key West, a pair of Army Green Berets were granted permission by race organizers to participate in the equipment category of the race. Wearing specialized propulsion devices, they zipped through the 12.5 mile course before race personnel had even set up the finish line. "Jetboots propel the diver through the water and fins are used like ailerons on an aircraft wing, to make adjustments as you’re flying through the water”

- Army SFUWO School Executive Officer Capt. James Blackburn.
