SFPD SWAT deploy LIBERATOR ETS during High-Risk Search Warrant!

San Francisco Police’s Tactical Unit (SWAT) and California Highway Patrol – Hayward Unit collaborated early this morning during a high-risk search warrant operation. The operation targeted suspected illegal firearms traffickers and their operational facility.

To properly contain the area and prevent any of the suspects from either evading capture or engaging from an unknown area, SFPD’s Tactical Unit deployed their LIBERATOR Elevated Tactics System on their Lenco BearCat G2 to “Side 3” of the facility, which was only accessible via the freeway. With the support of CHP-Hayward officers, who provided traffic control, SFPD was able to position their LIBERATOR system to allow Tactical Unit personnel the height required to provide containment and overwatch atop the freeway sound barrier/wall.

The LIBERATOR ETS provided tactical operators rapid access over the freeway perimeter wall, allowing them to provide needed overwatch and containment of the suspects structure.
